Amazing Spider-Man #124

1st Appearance of Man-Wolf & first battle with Spider-Man.

John Jameson, the supporting character has been around since Amazing Spider-Man #1 and has even become a superhero in Amazing Spider-Man #42 for a little while...His life has been saved by Spider-Man many times before becoming the Man-Wolf...His origin was told an issue after his introduction, err transformation in Amazing Spider-Man #125.

It became a rare occurrence whenever Man-Wolf  made an appearance so it was a real pleasure to see him pop-up in Marvel Team-Up #36 & 37...It wasn't so rare anymore when Man-Wolf became a regular in the pages of Creatures on the Loose and appeared in that title for issues #30-37.

Man-Wolf at one point had the gemstone torn out of his throat by Spider-Man but it was soon reattached by Morbius in Giant Size Superheroes #1...Again with the help of Spider-Man and Doctor Curt Conners (The Lizard), the gemstone was again made ineffective...The story is a never ending one though as John many times has turned back into the Man-Wolf for one reason or another!

Stargod was another name by which Man-Wolf went by whenever he was present in the Other Realm, an extradimensional realm where Man-Wolf retained John Jameson's personality and intellect while keeping the powers of Man-Wolf...This story was played out in a major part in Marvel Premiere #45 & 46 as well several other issues surrounding them...John has been in and out of action, with the rare transformation into Man-Wolf  becoming rarer and rarer...He did make a strange appearance in Captain America #402-408 in the infamous "Capwolf" storyline...You can be sure that there are many more twists and turns in the life of John Jameson in his life as Man-Wolf to be told!
