Rock Reflections Of A Superhero
Its the 25 anniversary of the 1975 Spider-Man album that was then a very cool record to have in your collection...Released by Lifesong records, they understood it was a risky venture to market a Spider-Man theme rock record, but after one listen to this suprisingly well done CD, it will be tough to keep some of these addictive songs out of your head...Written by a number of seasoned song writers and some well respected musicians (David Sanborn & Barry Manilow Keyboard player Alan Axelrod included), this CD contained quality songs...At first I was a little apprehensive as a number of Spider-Man fans might be, thinking the songs may sound similar to 70's dated songs sounding like the Brady Kids sang them, but even Non-Spider-Man fans will enjoy most of the songs on this CD.
Catchy songs on this record include: High Wire, Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus among others...The CD also displays the brilliant dialogue of the legendary Spider-Man creator Stan Lee in between songs as he takes his listeners through the life of Peter Parker, Spider-Man...The album originally became an underground hit played in many colleges and Billboard magazine gave it a very good review...One of the most requested records for re-release, Lifesong records packaged a great deal with incredible John Romita artwork that adorns the CD throughout.
You can order your CD from CD now or by visiting any CD/ Record dealer.
Special Thanks to Vinny Adinolfi, VP & General Manager of Winthrop Records for sending me some of these great CD's...They are much appreciated and well worth!
